I'm Lanae Dostal, and I'm the artist/photographer behind the camera at Lanae Dostal Photography. I'm proud to serve Chicago's beautiful Northwest suburbs. I have a studio space in Cary, Illinois and do much of my outdoor shooting in Crystal Lake, Illinois and surrounding areas. My goal of each family, maternity, newborn, and senior session is to have fun! Cultivating a laid back atmosphere allows me to capture the beauty and connection in the incredible people who trust me to photograph them.

I became obsessed with photography after starting my family. I had both of my son's newborn photos and later family photos professionally taken. I was blown away by how much these photos meant to me. I would admire my friend's family photography sessions on Facebook and yearly Christmas cards. These photos were just so beautiful and intimate; I was determined to learn photography. I wanted to be the artist behind these cherished moments. Fortunately, I live in a kick-a** community with an unbelievable family and friend support system that has helped me grow my small business. I am forever grateful to these people and so honored to serve this community.
I'm a wife and Mom to two adorable little boys who are the light of my life!
